Deerness Valley Cycling Group took part in a charity cycle ride on Sunday 29th May to help raise funds for expenses for a 3 month trip to America for 10yr old Caitlin Minnis.
It was a demanding ride taking in the Deerness Valley, Weardale and Teesdale including climbs over Chapel Fell and Craswleyside. Approx 70 miles all on ROAD. Starting and FINISHING at Broompark Picnic Area.
A huge thank you for all the riders who participated in the Charity Ride for Cailtin on Sunday. It was a wonderful day, lots of friendly faces and lots of donations, a big thank you to those walkers up on top of the world at Chapel Fell for their donations.
DVC would also like to thank Northumbrian Water, Co-op Foods and Angel Springs for Donating Water.

Glad Anita was ok despite her nasty fall at the bottom of Chapel Fell, hope u heal quickly.
